The liturgical dance group, Resolution, was there. They opened with a hip-hop number for the young at heart. Brenda & Steve Corker lead in praise and worship. Resolution came back to perform 2 more songs for us. "He was there" was a new song/dance that was very powerful. Renee Bingham preached on "Offended at God" from Matthew 13:20-21, 54-60. 2007 Mooresville Pro Am Chapel Service Report
Due to incoming rain, the smart decision was made by the IHRA & Mooresville officials to complete the pro am event on Saturday. We stayed over to do chapel service for those sleeping at the track overnight and those who would run the combo races Sunday afternoon. We were set up with hospitality provided by Mike Westmoreland and Mark Joyce, track operators, at 9:00 a.m. It began to mist and then drizzle. By 10:00 a.m., time for church, it was pouring. Once the rain had begun, most of the rigs began a mass exodus knowing there was no where to move chapel service indoors. At 10:00 a.m. those 10 brave souls who showed up in the rain were moved inside the motorhome. Prayer concerns were Barbara with colon cancer; Steve & Frieda who were killed in a car accident from Columbus NC, a retired gentlemen from Columbus who died in his sleep; (these 3 submitted by Larry Stott who also asked us to remember his church and community); and Donnie Crowder's granddaughter, Alana. Renee preached on "Growing our Spirit" from Galations 3. Offering was $140.00.

PIEDMONT CHURCH SERVICE Pitiful or Powerful? There were over 150 people present. Clay Bullard sang "Does He Still Feel The Nails" blessing us and God. Renee spoke from Isaiah 53:4 - 5Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." Jesus died for the total man - spirit, soul and body. The same blood that saves us and cleanses us from our sins also gives us the peace of God - a sound mind, and heals our body. Do we receive it? Or are we trying to accomplish it by our works? Offering was $825.00.
MOORESVILLE PRO AM CHURCH SERVICE This youth group came from Lenoir NC from Linda Smith's home church to share worship through dance. And they did worship! The oldest is only 16. They have a fire and passion for God that touches your heart and moves you to tears. AWESOME!
Linda Smith praising the Lord!
Renee praying for the prayer concerns.
Fellowship after the service and people getting materials and giving to the Lord.
We had 180 to 200 people in attendance at this service. The worship was incredible as these young people worshipped God with their entire heart, soul and body! Linda Smith blessed our hearts with song. Renee's topic was "Who's Ya Daddy? - A Spiritual DNA test" "Yet the time is coming and now has come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for they the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. John 4:23 and "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." One more person joined the family of God as a new believer. The offering was $937.75.
FARMINGTON CHURCH SERVICE - Palm Sunday
Rock Solid Christian Band came early on Sunday Morning to lead in Praise and Worship.
Rock Solid leading the congregation in "Blessed Assurance"
Brad McBride, drummer and Quick Rod racer, bringing the morning message on trials.
100 people inside the tent with another 50 to 100 outside the tent. It was great crowd.
The Chapel Service at Farmington Pro Am was awesome! The contemporary Christian Band, Rock Solid, held a concert on Saturday night during the hospitality event co-hosted by God Speed Ministry and Farmington Dragway. Then the band started at 9:30 Sunday morning leading in praise and worship. Brad McBride, the band drummer, also gave the message during the service. It was such a testimony that his scripture spoke about trials and tribulations because the band's head blew up (literally with smoke and smell) just moments before the 9:30 start. Gary Bingham hustled to get the PA head from God Speed Ministry and the band went on and God was glorified. Renee Bingham had the scripture for Palm Sunday from Luke 19: 28 where the Pharisees told Jesus to tell his disciples to be quiet. Jesus replied that if the people were to keep silent, then the very rocks would cry out with his praise. We would not be quiet this day, we would praise the Lord! Clay Bullard closed the service singing "Crucified With Christ." The invitation was given and lives were changed. Seven people accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. The angels in heaven rejoiced with us as God was blessed and His kingdom grew. We praise the Lord for His movement in the chapel services and for changing lives. God is good!!! And His offer is for everyone. Praise the Lord! It was an incredible service!!!!!!!! Offering was $840.60.
The hospitality on Saturday night was a great time of fellowship and food. Farmington Motorsports Park provide lots of pickups and God Speed provided desserts. Rock Solid played for 2 hours of Christian music and classic rock. Thanks to all who came and who brought desserts. The love offering for the band was $117.40.
CAROLINA DRAGWAY CHURCH SERVICE 3-6-2005 Church service was held in the starting line grand stands. The topic was "The Blood Covenant - God has your back" with scripture coming from Exodus 15 & 22, Deuteronomy 15. Brenda Corker sang "The Driving Nails". It was an excellent service as people were stirred up to walk in the strength of the blood covenant God established with His people. There were over 75 people in attendance and the offering was $452.00.
Rockingham Sunday Warm Up Race. Service: Sunday, Feb. 27, 10:00 a.m. "God Is In The House" - What does it mean to be "in Christ?" "If any man be in Christ he is a new creation, old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 and many, many more scriptures as we looked at what God offers us if we decide to live in Him. Attendance was 22 people and offering was $131.00.
ROCKINGHAM PRO AM CHURCH SERVICE 2-20-05 The Chapel Service at Rockingham was great! Steve Earwood graciously let us meet in the "upper room" - 3rd floor of the tower - out of the cold. Over 85 people were in attendance. Renee's topic was "Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire" using the scripture of James 4:1-10 and from Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" Rebecca Smith sang. We join the angels in rejoicing over the 3 new believers who gave their lives to Christ and we celebrate the numerous decisions to walk closer to Christ and believe exactly what God says. It was a great day! We also collected $351 for Donnie Crowder's medical expenses. Thank you all! We were able to put Bibles in the hands of nearly 250 people. Many people brought them with them to service Sunday morning. God's Word does not fail! Offering was $371.00
Would you like to be part of the chapel services? We are looking for people who are willing to sing in the choir, lead or help with a children's ministry, do special music - sing or instrumental, help with chapel services in any way. If you are interested, email us at support@godspeedministry.com and include the following: Name Phone number Division What you want to do and at which race or races Your name will be added to the list below as we compile a data base of resources for chapel services. We will not include your phone number on the web but will keep it on file for divisional chaplains. Each division will grow their chapel service to be uniquely theirs yet still an essential part of God Speed Ministry. We realize that many people attend local divisional races but never attend a national event. That is why each division will have their own community of faith and still be a part of the larger community of God Speed.
