Vision
It is our vision to build a community of faith within the family of IHRA drag racing, it's participants, sponsors, officials and fans. It is our desire that every person at an IHRA event be made aware of the salvation Jesus Christ died to purchase for them and to give them the opportunity to accept or decline that gift so freely offered to them. We also wish to build the faith and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ in those who profess Jesus as Savior. We want them to be aware of the inheritance that is theirs here in this life as well as in eternity. We want to help them walk in the abundance of life that Jesus came to give them, to experience the ultimate victory that every racer and person seeks.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thanks for desiring only the best for our lives.
To You, O Lord, we come seeking peace and grace.
Grant us peace in our hearts and souls.
Grant us grace as we learn our way through this life.
Grant, O Lord, the ability to do our best
As we live in community at Grand Bend.
Grant us fellowship and friendship.
Grant us safety as we travel and race.
Grant us prosperity and success.
May we please You as we do our best
And offer You the praise and glory.

God Speed Ministry Welcomes New Chaplains To Divisions 1 and 5

God Speed Ministry welcomes new chaplains to IHRA Pro Am Divisions One and Five. Mrs. Carol Rix, wife of Super Stock racer Tom Rix, accepted the position of Division 5 Chaplain in the fall of 2007.

Richard and Janette Guy just recently accepted the position of Division 1 Chaplain and Children's Chaplain. continued

God Speed is growing! InVision is here!

What is InVision, you ask? It is God Speed Ministry's new division for teens. We want to let teens and young adults know that God has something for them too.

The name InVision comes from our desire that young people see God's vision for their lives. Many of our youth are disillusioned with what they see going on around them in the world today. continued

The Schedule has also been updated. Check it out for a service where you will be racing. If you are racing on a weekend and the track doesn't have a chapel service planned, call us or have the track owner call us. We'll be happy to provide one.

Pray for Earl Muscarelli, owner of USA Engines in Houston TX, is in the hospital ICU with liver cancer. He is in the final stages of life. Also pray for his wife Julie whose father had a heart attack this weekend. Julie really needs our support as she deals with a husband and father in ICU.

Rebecca Smith came through surgery fine. Please continue to pray for her as she recovers.

Dennis on the Dale Creasy team had prostrate surgery Tuesday 7-9-08 for cancer. Please remember him in your prayers as he recovers physically as well as emotionally from Dale's wreck on Sunday.

Dennis Kephart has cancer and has only be given a year to live. Dennis is the brother-in-law of Lenny Hutchinson, Gary Bingham's business partner.

Mike Hutchens who races Farmington Dragway, lost his father due to illness this week Remember this family as they mourn his passing.

Rebecca Smith will have surgery on Tuesday. She is Chaplain Stuart Smith's wife. Pray for her, Stuart and the 2 small children as they make adjustments during her hospitalization and recovery.

Rudy, who races Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, has shingles.

Donna Harper's grandson Mason has Angelman's Syndrome. Pray for Mason and his family

My father-in-law Steve Pledger has suffered back-to-back heart attacks in the last two weeks. He's in the hospital now and doctors are preparing for open heart surgery to repair a leaking heart valve. -- Bobby Bennett

IHRA World Champion Glenn Ferguson is having severe back pain and needs our prayers for healing.

Update on Dale Creasy: Dale was taken back into surgery Tuesday to relieve swelling and pressure on his leg. The wound was left open and Dale was doing much better. If he continues to heal, he will go back into surgery Thursday to close the wound. Continue to pray for him and his family.

Update from Mike Perry. The surgery went well but there are a few problems remaining. I had to get x-rays on my hip because that is where the majority of the pain is now…the doctor thinks there is degenerative arthritis there which will require more injections and, eventually, another surgery. I am trying to stay strong and everyone’s prayers are helping…I just want it to go away. Thanks for everything and I will be back in Grand Bend.

Thanks for the prayers for my son James. He is back at work and completely healed with his vision in good shape. Thank you Jesus. I will add that he has a new outlook for safety in any job no matter how routine it may seem. Thanks again PB

Please pray for Children's Chaplain Janette Guy. She is home from the hospital from her knee replacement surgery but the doctors found a blood clot in her leg yesterday. Continue to pray her through this healing process.

Continue to pray for Dale Creasy and his family as he remains in the hospital in Canada.

Pray for the Sports Nationals at Pittsburg Raceway Park and Richard Guy & Mike Imhoff as they minister there. Pray for safety in travel and racing as well as open doors to share God's love.

Please pray for complete healing for NFC World Champ Dale Creasy as he recovers from injuries suffered Sunday afternoon. He is in surgery tonight. Also pray for his family and team as they go through this with Dale.

Cora Nebel, a former employee of Maryland Int'l Dragway will have an 8 hour surgery on Monday, July 7. Please pray for Cora and the team of medical staff during this procedure. Also pray for a complete healing for Cora and a rapid recovery.

Pray for Matt Weinert as he continues to recover from injuries. Matt is out of the hospital but has many months of recovery time.

Pray for Hugh who was suffered a facial injuries.

Continue to pray for Mike Perry as he recovers from back surgery.

Please remember Steven Patton who was injured with a chainsaw cut to his arm on his job. He was life flighted Herman hospital in Houston where as God would have it the premier microsurgeon was available and after four hours of surgery has given him a fighting chance. He was able to move his fingers. His prognosis is good so far but he and his family still needs our prayers. So pray hard. Thanks in advance. PB

KINGS MTN, NC , June 11, 2008: Every night children right here in the United States go to bed hungry. Over 13 million children in the U.S. are hungry, according to statistics. As IHRA and God Speed go into the President's Cup Nationals at Maryland Int'l Raceway, God Speed Ministry will again be raising awareness and funds to alleviate the hunger.

In Maryland, 1 of every 10 children are hungry. This is unacceptable. We can and must do something to change this. Together, we can Change a Child’s Life. continued

REPORT MAY 27, 2008: $568.18 raised for Feed The Children at Milan Motor City Nationals. God Speed Ministry is adding to that and sending a check for $1,000 to Feed The Children as part of our commitment to CHANGE A CHILD'S LIFE.

Over the last two years, God Speed Ministry has provided 34,286 lifesaving meals to our country's hungriest children. We thank you for supporting God Speed Ministry in your donations.
