1 Corinthians 12:28
So God has appointed some in the church [ for His own use]: first apostles
(special messengers); second prophets (inspired preachers and expounders); third
teachers; then wonder-workers; then those with ability to heal the sick;
helpers; administrators; [speakers in] different (unknown) tongues.
Ephesians 4
10He Who descended is the [very] same as He Who also has ascended high above all
the heavens, that He [His presence] might fill all things (the whole universe,
from the lowest to the highest).
11And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to
be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and
expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries),
some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.
12His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His
consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward
building up Christ's body (the church)

for prayer and
salvation

John 1:1-5
In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he
was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3He created everything
there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make. 4Life itself was in
him, and this life gives light to everyone. 5The light shines
through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
Ephesians 4:3-6
3Make every effort to keep the
unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
4There is one body and one Spirit–just
as you were called to one hope when you were called–
5one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6one God and Father of all, who is over
all and through all and in all.
