The backbone
or spine of this ministry are the prayer warriors, the intercessors.
This ministry
needs prayer more than any other thing. It is through prayer that we access God
himself. And God tells us, "But seek ye first the
kingdom
of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Matthew 6:33

SEEK
GOD’S HEART INSTEAD OF HIS
HAND
What if, when we pray, we prayed to know the mind of God instead of
receiving from His Hand? If we prayed for God to show us what He has in mind
for us to learn in our trial, our sickness, our illness, our disaster, instead
of delivering us from it, God would answer every time. Nothing happens to us
that God has not allowed. And if God has allowed it, then He has a plan and a
purpose for it. “For I know the plans I have for you, plans for a future, to
give you a hope...”
How many times do we miss the blessing, the lesson, the strengthening that
God intends to make our lives better because we are so focused on God answering
our prayer to remove the “thorn” from our lives.

SENATOR'S
PRAYER
Thought you
might enjoy this interesting prayer given in Kansas at the opening session of
their Senate. It seems prayer still upsets some people. When Minister Joe
Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was
expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to
seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call
evil good," but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual
equilibrium and reversed our values.
We confess that we have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it
Pluralism.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of
expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it
enlightenment.
Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set
us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us to
the center of Your will and to openly ask these things in the name of Your Son,
the living Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!"
The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer
in protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is
pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls
responding negatively. The church is now receiving international requests for
copies of this prayer from India, Africa, and Korea.
Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, "The Rest of the
Story," and received a larger response to this program than any other he has
ever aired.
With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly
become our desire so that we again can be called "one nation under God."
God’s Prayer For You
It is
my earnest desire that men should have peace and goodwill toward each other.
But they cannot give away what they do not own. In order to have that peace and
goodwill with each other they have to come to me to receive it. I am the giver
of all good things and I generously give to all those who come and ask in
sincerity. But they must believe that I am and that I am a rewarder of those
who diligently seek me.
And
when they come to me, I will give them so much more than they ask for, I will
give them myself. Isn’t that what I did when I sent my only, beloved son away
from heaven to live there with you? Didn’t I give you my very best in order to
show you have much I love you? In my Word, John 17:23, I tell you that I
love you just as much as I love my Son Jesus.
But
you don’t believe it. You won’t receive it. You keep trying to earn my love
and my forgiveness when I’ve already given it to you. Jesus told you on the
cross that “It is finished.” All you have to do is accept it. Why is that so
hard for you?
I
know that every religion on earth is based on works, that the more good you do,
the higher you move up. But I’ve already done everything when I gave you the
very first Christmas gift: My Son! All I want from you is a relationship, to
love me as a true Father, to honor me as your Father and walk and talk with me.
I
sent Jesus to show you that it is possible for you as a human being to be what I
created you to be. I’m God. I know all things. So I know what is possible for
you to do and what is not possible for you to do. I also tell you in my Word
that my yoke is easy and my load light, I will never give you more that you can
handle. But you keep trying to do it yourself and in your way and it is so
very hard for you.
But
I’m here waiting, patiently, for that day when you will finally get tired of it
all and cry out to me for help. And I will help you. Why not call me now?
I’ll answer. I always answer the prayers of those who seek me in truth and
sincerity. I’m waiting to help you receive the peace and goodwill with me and
with mankind that you so desperately want. Then you will have the merriest and
best Christmas ever as you begin to live the life of wholeness and purpose that
I designed for you.
With
All My Love,
God

for prayer and
salvation

John 1:1-5
In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he
was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3He created everything
there is. Nothing exists that he didn't make. 4Life itself was in
him, and this life gives light to everyone. 5The light shines
through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
Ephesians 4:3-6
3Make every effort to keep the
unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
4There is one body and one Spirit–just
as you were called to one hope when you were called–
5one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6one God and Father of all, who is over
all and through all and in all.
